I am getting 3-4 email messages from Facebook (yes, verified) per hour saying someone is requesting a password reset on my account. Thus far they have not reset my pw (I did so myself) but it's annoying.

Someone who thinks that they are you and requesting a reset but not getting the email?

It's one right after the other. If you were expecting an email wouldn't you wait a little? Maybe not, maybe that's it. But, really, who would use my email and expect to get a reply? Unless someone is also trying to hack my email at the same time. I keep reporting it.

Or hack your facebook account. They try it, check their email, don't see the email and try again to get facebook to send them another.
I checked, you aren't unique, there is another user with that name, maybe it's them?

Well, just like there is someone else with my name (big shock, isn't it?) who also lives in the Western Hemisphere, there apparently is another someone registered on that site with your same name.
My named doppelganger lives in NYC incidentally.

Worst part is, when I check my name in a foreign spelling, I'm the only one that comes up.

I have been getting just requests on an almost daily basis for the past 2 years I think.
Probably shouldn't have went with my first name as the slug for the unique URL, now people are eager to get it away from me :)
