Grazed but able to carry on

We dodged a PITA bullet. It did graze us, it was a close call but we are able to recover and carry on.
The most absurd of the absurd. It was DH who called them back and said "This is not going to work, you won't be happy here." HALLELUJAH PASS THE BACON!
He was fed up and I was fed up and it was a disaster in the works, snowballing out of control. Those people who you cannot imagine going ANY WHERE, how they do it, well how they do it is take everyone down in their path, perhaps a avalanche is a better analogy, not a snowball effect. Yes an avalanche!
Edited to add: They were here when all of this went down, that was the "grazing" bit. We didn't avoid it, we were slightly hit, and lived to survive.

An avalanche is just a snowball on steroids.
Glad you got out of the way.

I also know the great feeling when one makes the decision to eliminate what is obviously a storm brewing. A wonderful relief. Now you can enjoy the rest of the week!
And, you know, it's quite possible they are completely baffled, or will tell others they are, about how it ended. Clueless, or at least acting clueless.

Only because he got to deal with the situation, my gut was not wrong on this at all, I knew it was coming and avalanched. He would have probably said "oh they are not THAT bad" What he did say is not fit for sharing here.

YES! Because normally we try our utmost to please the guest and end up with the shaft. You know my theory on stepfords, but mean is mean, no doubt about it.
