coffee time.
Really! that is the best, to me it was the best. up very early, serving the whole house breakfast, rushing around to get them through on time, and out they all went --- especially if it was a whole house fluff, not a flip.
i felt like the hobbit after 'he saw nobody, but all the signs of a large and hurried breakfast' ...
and i would slam those dishes into the dishwasher, pile the pans in the soapy water sink, and sit with my coffee, looking out at the harbor.
or even, yes sometimes, even venturing across the road to sit at the pier in the harbor and watch the boats. maybe i'd catch a bit of conversation with someone.
and then strolling back across the road while it was still so very early, before 7 am. i felt very spoiled in spite of the work ahead of me.

I just got up this morning at 6am . It sure beats the 4am . So in a week or so Hope fully I be in the relax mode. Hoping to head out down the eastern coast line. For 4 months. All suites are bedded down a/c wrapped for the winter hot tub down and cleaned. ready for next summer.Just a bit more to do . then we hope to get away by Nov 6th.
I have to ask, why do you get up at 4am?Flower said:

Oh it just me. When I am in the mode of B&B. I can't seem to sleep more then 4 to 5 hours. Believe it or not> But I am excited to start cooking and getting things on the road for the day. I spend my time looking at stats, cup coffee come here to see what is new, check emails, check out new recipes and before I know it is 6 and the dog and DH are rising for the day. thank you so much for the invite. We are staying west this year .Last year through the cold and wind and snow and earth quake we came east. Last year was our bucket list trip. this year is our take time trip to just sight see and head for the ocean and desert.I have to ask, why do you get up at 4am?Flower said:

that is crazy! they just won't/can't/don't want to! wait, do they? check in is 3 to 7 isn't it? they just want to get their keys, leave their luggage, use a bathroom and then go off for the day, or sit on the porch, i guess. absolutely no concept of what they are asking.Madeleine said:

i was shamed, yes shamed, by the now deceased owner of the little hotel across the road from me when i was closed to guests that would be checking in ... until check in time.
he told them he was appalled that i did not let them come in to use a restroom or go to their room at noon. he let them in to his place so they could use the facilities but he also had a restaurant with public restroom and a large staff. my check in was 3 to 7.
maybe i was in the basement doing laundry or maybe i was hiding or maybe who knows? maybe i was actually using the restroom myself! i was appalled that he had no clue how hard i was running to get everything done and that he would comment at all instead of being gracious, letting them use his facilities (his choice) and not criticizing me to them.

Yes Maddie I did for sure. This time along I hope it will be an easier ride. We will be taking more time to sight see and hopefully relax, I mean really relax. Work on web and social media . that is it. Says me with my fingers crossed. Hopefully no snow or hail or earth quakes . ekes. Iam wondering what is in store for us. First time big trip we lost our first motor home to rain and high winds . this one had new front restored and a few more piece add. tho I must say she looks so good bright and shinny.

Up at 4:30 for the first breakfast (did as much as possible last night so got to sleep in) and the second breakfast was at 8. All gone by 8:30. Internet is down and Square would not sign in on my iPhone so they gave me a check. Since I was expecting a tech to come for an Internet upgrade could not go to bed. Some upgrade, it is DOWN, not working, non-functional. Sure as I decide to take a nap the tech will show. Am at Library now checking e-mail. Gotta get back. I sooooo want a nap.
