Just said goodbye to our last guest of the month ( I hope ). Other than a couple for a long weekend getaway next month and my travelling sales lady, November will be quiet. Honestly, no sooner does my guest check out when I spy a wee movement across the dining room floor. Eeek! A mouse! Not surprising, considering where we live, but not welcome either. Tried to corner it with the help of DH, but it wouldn't budge from behind the guest fridge in the dining room. Time to call for reenforcements! So, I let my two little black lovies, Cole and Chloe, loose in the common areas. It took Cole all of three minutes to get that wee little mouse but we chased him around the house for 15 minutes to try and wrestle it from his clutches. We won. Well, I guess things won't be dull around here, even after the last guest has checked out for this year. Really looking forward to some down time and the chance to rip out OUR bathroom. It's not just our guests that deserve up-to-date facilities!

eeek is right! you might not think so, but a rodent on the floor and i'm scrambling up on tables and countertops ... then, of course, i have to get down and deal with it.
thank goodness for cats.

Absolutely! This year most of our renos were for US. Perked up our spirits which really were in need.
