San Francisco- Fabulous My hubby performed at the Palace of Fine Arts- great show - sold out - standing ovation etc. Saw old friends, held a reunion for previous guests- very nice. Great weather. Short trip down to Half Moon Bay Highway 1.
Chicago- Lyric Opera performing Don Giovanni followed by a Chicago Blackhawks game. Hockey is kind of crazy and fun. they won Yeah. More great weather. Dinner with nephew. Lunch with Uncle and cousin. Met some friends passing through in their Airstream. Polish food on Milwaukee Ave.
Home- So great to come home. Lots more great weather to come.
Fresh, rejuvenated, happy keeper

Welcome back! Sounds like a great time. I know you aren't near the volcano flow, but still scary.Guess it is just something you learn to live with.

You can't miss getting good food on Milwaukee Ave. Any time I was going into the City, I would always get off the Expressway at Milwaukee Ave on the way home to get pirogis for the family. It was a must.
My daughter's first district had a little bit of Milwaukee Ave in it (the rest was the ghetto). They would go up there for meal break or patrol and people would see her name tag and start talking Polish. She would hold up her hands and say, "I am it but I don't talk it."

Glad you had a good time and made some lasting memories to boot. But it is always great to come home.

Times they are a changin' but we were still able to find a good restaurant- Staropolska- for the traditional family style meal. Who doesn't like pirogi.

Busy vacation but sounds like a blast! (I love hockey!).
I grew up a Hawks fan and I have been wanting to go to a game for a couple of years. It exceeded my expectations. The ticket prices exceeded the opera!

.
Da Mayor has expenses so Da Hawks have expenses. I think the new stadium is at least in a better neighborhood.
