"Can I change my room from a king to 2 doubles?"

OfflineIt's that kind of weekend...got a call earlier from a guy I spoke extensively with a couple of months ago about booking a room. He was adamant, he did NOT want a room with 2 beds. He kept telling me his brother wouldn't make his own reservation if he got a room with 2 beds and he didn't want to share a room with his brother. Guess what? Brother didn't make rez. Now he wants a rooms with 2 beds.
A) he didn't book a king bed;
B) this is not a hotel;
C) I told him so.
However, if a guest with a room with 2 beds shows up before he does, I'll ask if they want to swap. HE will pay HIS booked room's price no matter what room he gets, ditto the guests who may swap. I'm not cutting him any slack on the price.

OK, I said I would ask the other guests if they would swap rooms if they showed up before this guy. I did. They were sort of ok with it until they saw the people they were swapping for. FRIENDS of theirs! So it all worked out. The brother got a room elsewhere, no swap necessary.
