I am in the mood to write, again. Maybe over the cold winter months, if I can set aside some time to do so and keep the momentum going. I enjoy writing and the whole "write what you know" thing has reared its ugly head again in my mind/life.
If you wrote what you knew about some real life characters in your experience/life, who would they be?
I just finished reading "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt" by Beth Hoffman which was my type of inspirational story, hard to put down with small bits and pieces of wisdom woven into the story through the characters. I would love to emulate this in my own small town mountain life. http://bethhoffman.net/

Aunt who, at age 12, was shot in the arm by British soldiers for 'aiding and abetting' the IRA. And refusing to tell them anything.
Could be a short story. I need to write one for more performance group. Thanks for giving me a place to start.

If I wrote anything, which I probably won't do, it would be about my dad, who as a physician had a career that spanned the introduction of penicillin, the discovery of DNA, organ transplantation, pacemakers, MRIs and PET scans. Actually back in the early 50's he once shocked a lady's heart back to life using an extension cord (way before defibrillators)
