It's nice to know there are some worse than I am. Getting the TP just right is a biggie with me, and getting the ties on the robes in the closet the same length.
I just call it attention to detail, not an obsession. Like re-reading my posts 3 times or more before clicking Save (just scrolled down to make sure the word on the button really is Save), then reading them again after I post, and STILL finding typos!! Drives me crazy.
But crazy in a good way. I certainly understand the focus group subject wanting to come back tomorrow!
In the days before Swirt gave us a spellchecker, I used to copy my posts to WordPerfect, spell check them, then copy them back here. Attention. To. Detail.

Don't you just notice that stuff whenever you go? I'm forever excusing myself to straighten pictures.
I can't shop with a friend who thinks nothing of trying on 5 pairs of shoes and leaving them and the boxes wherever they land.
There's a restaurant near me that posts a photo of their menu board on Facebook everyday. I want to tell them to at least get someone who knows how to spell to COPY the menu items from the printed paper menu onto the board. Oh, and someone whose printing is legible would help as well.
A retail store in town has a chalkboard on the sidewalk with their specials. That is a work of art!

The innkeeper in all of us could barely get past the dirty smudgy two way glass...I am sure that was on purpose. Plus to demonstrate that you are looking through it into the room.
Edited to add: Yes, some of us are more anal than others. We admit it. There is no reckoning.
This is the reason SS gets pulled down on her lack of Capital Letters in sentences. It actually hurts, there I said it. It hurts. (no i am not going to double exclaim or accentuate that phrase!! and i am not using caps ouch)
If you noticed the guy's face a couple times where he was actually wincing in pain, that is what it does to "a few people" here. I actually put myself through therapy and tried to use all lower case while on the iPad (see I even have to type iPad appropriately) but it didn't really stick, just aggravated the heck out of me.

That was hysterically funny. I used to be a lot more OCD. After 39 years with my dh, I had to let go of some things or I'd be in the looney bin.
But, next house he will have an office of his own and my stress level will be soooooooooooo much better. :)

Omg, how funny! I've got ADD & a little OCD, so my partner likes to tell people have ABCD - generic label that covers it all.
