So what is an average B&B website bounce rate?.

I think if you use Google analytics there is a feature that you can compare your results with others in your field. You do get hotels, of course.
It might be helpful to look at which pages have higher than 'normal' (for your site) bounces and see what the keywords were that got the person to that page.
My blog gets found using the oddest keywords. And we get a lot of calls asking what time a certain store opens. The bounces are much higher on the page with that store name than pages with actual inn info.
Don't forget a lot of bounces are spam bots. How many actual guests do you get from Russia or the Philippines in a given year compared with the number of site hits from those countries? Those will go thru the whole site, another thing that doesn't often happen with a real guest.

Bounce rate are the people who come to your website and then leave. The rate would depend on how many people get to the wrong website. For example, if people found your website looking up Smurfs and then found a B&B, they likely would close that page and become a bounce. It's only indicative of anything if the number suggests that either your website is too slow or they are getting there by error.
