hi there ....
a couple years ago, JB let me know about retail me not - which i check along with other sites before making online purchases. (thank you)
store sites, slick dea l s ... so many.
there is also an am a zon coupon page to check i recently discovered -- mostly it's not what i'm looking for -- but shopping on the site, i did find a coupon for a baby item we needed. it would be nice if the site would alert you as in ... hey did you know we've got a coupon for that?

here's the link
which reminds me. i was online booking a room at an inn for a wedding weekend and the bride's mom forgot to mention that there was a wedding guest discount and there was no note in with the invitation - just we recommend you stay right where the wedding will be. in the remarks section i mentioned that i was coming for this wedding. a few hours later the nicest guy called me and said ... oh, there is 15% off for everyone coming to that event. haza! and thank you. i was very impressed. while i was there, i went looking for him to thank him. that may be their policy but i've been places and found out after the fact that i could have got this or that discount.

That is why I automatically give the 3rd night discount or the 15% military if I find out they are/were military. I do not want anyone to be unhappy to go home and discover there was a special/discount.

DH gave a week discount to a guy who booked 6 days. He is a repeat customer and a very easy guest. They live in the big city near us, so we like that they consider us their 'vacation home.'

For a long stay that is a good idea.
For short stays for repeat guests we've gone to giving gifts. Something small and local. Jams, syrup, candy.
We started off with discounting but found we were giving away a lot of money to people who didn't care about the discount.
