Hi everyone! I Was just wondering if anyone might be interested in taking over Inn Re war ds? I don't have the time it needs. If anyone might be interested in it let me know. I'm going to start thinking about options for it. It's either sell it or down size it to just the U.S. I'm open to options and suggestions.
I hope you all are enjoying the slow season!
 
I'm not sure what to do with this site. We made a good effort to try and make a go of it but at this time it's not really doing anything. If anyone has any suggestions or comments let me know. If not, I'm probably going to contact some of the big sites to see if they might be interested in the domain name or site.
Thank you for everyone that helped try and make this site work. It was a nice idea and we gave it a great effort.
 
I am sorry I let you down - I tried beating the bushes and then let stuff (and laziness) get in the way. The main problem was getting innkeepers to get on board. As long as they are only willing to throw money at directories and are not willing to sign on to something that is free and from a trusted source, there is not much we could do.
I do not know enough about web sites and techies stuff to take it on. You stepped up to the plate and put your money on the line, not just talk - action. I apologize for not being more effective.. It would have been a wonderful thing.

It's really sad more didn't sign up and try and make a go of it. I spent almost $500 to have the RKey user be able to be searched. This was a great feature. I had 1 sign up.

I had no idea it was there or how to implement it. Grrrrr. I truly feel I failed. . The sad thing is we have more innkeepers around the world sign up than we had in the US. We could not even get 1 in each State.
 
I wouldn't give up yet! What is involved? Could it be made to work with a bunch of people working together on it if it's too much for one? We didn't know anything about it until you posted this...and I expect we weren't the only ones. I would love to see this worked out and give boo king, TA, etc. .... a race to the top....at least put airdoubleb out of business! Get the word out to guests somehow and others will dump the big guys and flock to innrewards. Give it a second chance please! I'm not a computer person or I would offer.
 
I saw a couple of posts asking what's all involved? Did you charge for a lasting etc? Is there an option of having several people work on it?

Lea Ann, the beauty of it was that this kind and generous man paid for the web site, domain, and hosting and was NOT charging B & Bs to list. His concept was that after we got it populated with B & Bs, we could do SEO and then sell listings to the restaurants and attractions in our areas to pay the expenses of the site.
Each inn, once vetted to ensure it really WAS a B & B, was registered with the ID and their password and they entered their own info. You could change your Reward at will.
 
HillBilly, I might, but it depends on the time needed and the skill level in maintaining it.
 
I would be willing to keep it going if we can get users. Or maybe a little more help. I'm even open to suggestions on changing things up if need be. Im not one to give up but I know when something works and when it doesn't. If we do keep it going, I might want to tone it down to a smaller size to keep things simple. Just a thought. If, we could get one person from each state that could help, I think it might be a little better. Just a thought. If we can get paid listing, I think we could even set up a % kick back for your time and effort. If something sticks or looks good than we can see about going forward.

Yes there is. More than one person can update and add to the site.

Just throwing this out there, but we are all from different states have we thought of contacting state bed and breakfast associations and give them the information and let them push it out to their B and B's? Just asking.

Months ago - but have at it. Never hurts to try again. I thought my credibility would help. It did not. Perhaps a new voice....

How developed was the site? If it was early on that might be some of it.

Check out the Virginia section, nice bold colorful nice listings! Better than all the others and owned and operated by innkeepers themselves, let's try to keep the momentum going. Anyone here who is able to step up and take this on board would be grand!

I wouldn't mind helping out, can't take it all on myself. I will gladly go to my state B and B association and see if I can get some inns on the site? Can the inn develop their site or does it have to be done by an admin?

I brought it to my state association and pushed it to innkeepers on my association private FB page. Only 1 other member signed up.
