i don't see this option yet on pages i manage - have you seen it on your pages? are you using it?

Yep, just saw it last night and implemented a "Contact Us" button on two business pages.

Sounds like a good idea, but can't see the option on my page yet.
FB clearly have to do something more to bridge the huge divide between businesses promoting themselves on FB and turning that into sales, IMHO.

I've set it up. No one has used it. (There is a stats page for it.)
Take a look on my page. See if you see it.

It just appeared on my page. I set it to "Book Now" and linked it to my ResKey page.

I am using ResKey's Facebook App for that, which is why I set the FB button to "contact us" -- but the app not as obvious as FB's "call-to-action" button.

I use the ResKey app too, but it's so hidden. This Book Now button is right there in their face, where I want it! I don't want them to contact me. I want them to book. Now! :)

I wonder, is it better to link the button to your availability calendar or to the page that shows off your rooms.
I guess the question should be, in what state of mind will people be who click the "book now" button.
I don't think ones FB page gives a full impression of the business and what it offers, so I'm not sure that people on FB would be about to book and therefore shouldn't you send them to a page that showcases your place rather than an availability calendar?

Facebook for booking is like trying to use mayonnaise for snow removal.
What is it that the TV guy said... biggest social media guy in the hotel business managed a whole 7 reservations in a year... it's not a place for booking rooms...

I haven't been notified yet by FB to add it to my page. Is there somewhere I should be looking for it?

That is an excellent idea HJ! That way fb also doesn't have the link to your rez info. I feel better about this now and am going to change the page the link goes to.

It shows up very obviously when it's available to you. Think flashing and pop ups.

It's being rolled out slowly. The Call To Action button first appeared last week on another page I manage, but only appeared on my inn FB page this morning. When it appears, a little pop-up appears the first time you visit your FB page, telling you about it. Then a Call To Action button becomes available next to the "Liked" and "Message" buttons at the bottom of your page's top photo (called the Cover Photo).

We'll see. My ResKey page gives a good description and multiple photos of each room, and anybody who wants more info can click any of several links to other pages on the website.
I'm getting more and more people arriving at my website from my FB page.
Just as I have Book Now prominent at the top of my own website, I want it prominent on the FB page. Don't want any possibility of somebody not booking because they didn't see how to do it.

Go out and come back into your FB page fresh...you may see it right at the top as a pop up window. You can use it as a CONTACT US link to your website or a BOOK NOW or other (like video etc)

Maybe I should rephrase that.
I think that few people looking my FB page would be about to book (as it seems a strange place to be if that's what you want to do) so isn't it better to send them to a page that makes them want to book rather than one that allows them to book?

You can edit it to a contact us which goes to your website vs a book now. The contact us is kinda lame as they can contact right there on the FB page any time they want, so the options are limited. But you can edit it and change it after, no worries.
