Odd how you never hear of a thing before and then twice in one day, two different stories I read mention Cards Against Humanity.

haha virgin hotels.
give me a secure room in a secure location.
i often travel alone and have to park far away from the entrance. valet parking for this reason would be a treat.
i don't need pleasure articles in the room, but some extra towels for long hair and yes! a blowdryer that doesn't get tired too quickly would be lovely. a bathrobe and SLIPPERS would be heaven but probably extreme.
if i call the front desk, i want someone to answer and i don't want to hear it ring and ring until it's picked up by some kind of voicemail. when someone tries to enter your room in the middle of the night not once, but twice, and the front desk doesn't answer - it's a nightmare. yes i've not forgotten it, not gotten over it, received no human response when i complained via email and snail mail about it and will NEVER go back to that hotel.
ps i had 'the farrah' hairstyle - and every boy i knew had the poster!

I meant to tell you this last time you had your run in with people trying to get in the room - always ask for 2 key cards when you check in. Say you'll give the other one to your boyfriend when he arrives. (I just had to tell my 40 year old daughter this after she told everyone at the check in desk she was alone. In Vegas.)
Then hang out the do not disturb sign, put the extra lock on and shove a chair under the door knob.
Leave the tv on when you go out.
Still, it would be nice to feel secure without all the cloak and dagger.

these are the people who photocopied my license at check in. jeez.

You need to try to stay at higher class joints. ;-) I've never been asked for a photocopy of my license. I rarely have it with me. It has way too much info embedded in that strip to hand it over so someone can walk off with it.
Heck, I'd even give the bf a tough job.
Guys don't have the same problems, but they do have problems. They don't have to be as circumspect, but they do have stuff that can be stolen that they need to watch out for.

You need to try to stay at higher class joints. ;-) I've never been asked for a photocopy of my license. I rarely have it with me. It has way too much info embedded in that strip to hand it over so someone can walk off with it.

I had a fit at a restaurant that wanted to put a $200 hold on my CC for "security" and a copy of my driver's licence. As we all know, the hold is useless, especially since the room was prepaid. And you don't need to drive to rent a hotel room. It was all a violation of privacy.
Actually, it got worse, the form they asked me to sign was clearly designed for a different country.
