Always interesting to see what guests leave behind. Yesterday I found a sheaf of paper with renter info. Names, addresses, billing info (payments due, late, fines, etc) .
So, now I know 'Jane Doe' at High Priced Apts in PA doesn't pay her rent on time, has hundreds of dollars in fines assessed and was on the agenda at the director's meeting as to whether or not to start eviction proceedings.
People. Don't leave this stuff in your hotel recycle bin when you check out!
How unfair to Jane Doe that I now know this about her.
There is so much more in that stack that I'm startled it was left behind in the recycle and not shredded at the office of the property owner.

Trash is very revealing!!!!

Guests left us a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates today.

I guess the other thing I know is the property owner doesn't protect their tenant's private business.

Here's a new innkeeper vocab word for you -
"Guest-overs" - (n.) Those good foodstuffs that guests leave in the in-room fridge after check-out.

Creepiest thing we ever had a guest leave behind was a
"personal appliance." Ew.
