Just a little bit of venting here.
Back in November, we made the decision to switch from RezovationsGT to ResNexus. Our decision was based on a better user interface at a slightly better price, and concerns over RezovationGT support moving forward. We were getting OTA bookings through BedAndBreakfast.com.
Our switchover to RezNexus took longer than we'd hoped (we wanted to be done before the ski season deluge hit, but we didn't go live until mid January. But the portion that has totally been a cock-up is the Reznexus-InnLink-Expedia interface. It took them 2 months to get it live, and now that it is, none of our availability is showing up, room information is wrong, and every room has the same rate: $189.
So you can only imagine what I'm getting: Double-bookings with people booking 1-day reservations through Expedia for rooms that cost $279 peak and have 2- and 3-day minimums.
I can take or leave OTAs during the busy season, but they are a godsend in the slower months. That said, I've cussed out about everyone I can think of. I'm now resigned to calling or emailing people who've booked online through Expedia, telling them they're not getting that great deal Expedia promised them, and offering to book them at the right rate. I can only imagine how well that conversation will go.
No solutions needed, just needed to vent.
