Today we went to the latest specialist. I swear he said April was the scope. On the way home I was going to put it into my calendar and asked the date. SURPRISE, not really. I was waiting for the F-up to my trip. Yes, 3 something in the afternoon of March 30. He is all apologetic but made no offer to change it. So I will be thinking of all of you. Enjoy.
 
Change it yourself. Call the Dr and explain you have to be somewhere else. Don't be a martyr! Life's too long!
 
Yes, I really want to come. But I have to live here 364 days a year and the only one who changes a doc apt ot especially a TEST is Himself. He THOUGHT he was avoiding my trip he says.
 
Screw that S**t! (my favorite saying these days) Change it, sistah.
 
Agree with all here......change it. We are going to have a private party on the 30th ( mid valley innkeepers ). Feet in hot tub , sipping wine , swapping stories. and lots of laughing .Sleep in and breakfast delivered to your door . What more do you want ?
 
Have one of his buddies take him while you go to the gathering.
 
I have calmed down myself. Yes, I was looking forward to seeing my friends - I have met all except our island mates and was REALLY looking forward to seeing all again.
Now, if you did not know me, what would your opinion be of a wife who put a one night pleasure trip above her husband getting a test to find out why he has not been able to eat anything other than a veggie soup consisting of potatoes, green beans, peas, and carrots. He can eat fish - no breading/no lemon. No spices. He is on a prescript antacid.
And he cannot get is aneurysm fixed until they get the food issue fixed. He said the doc was on the phone with the hospital for about 10 minutes before they came up with the first available slot - and I would have laid bets when it would be. With his history of things being "off-the-wall" - Himself never goes through anything easy-peasy - he finds some way to be %^&*(). It is just how things go for him.
There is no way I can ask someone to take him - I would if he were normal, but too often no biggie things for him have turned into a trip back for ER. No one, including me, would have one iota of respect for me if I go. He is almost 75 and the ONLY thing that is working STRONG on him is his ability to drive me up the wall and F-UP any plans I might make. That is what life becomes when we get closer to the end of it.

Yes, you are right. Be the support your husband needs! I hope he knows how lucky he is to have you for his wife!!!!
 
K - I'm sorry the timing is what it is. You might just call and ask to be put on the "cancellation list", you know sh__ happens to other people sometimes. We'll be thinking of you.
 
Cant hurt to ask, well not that much anyway, well nothing you have not had to deal with before...
