Hi,
For about two weeks now, we are finally proud (and happy and very tired...) new owners of a small B&B. We need to inform TA about the change of ownership, but we would like to keep the previous reviews, which are really excellent. Is there a way to change ownership on TA without losing the reviews? Does anyone know more about this?
Thank you very much for your help! Any advise is helpful.

If you still have the same email address, you should be able to just resume using the old account. You might need to reset the password. We did this even though some of the previous reviews were less than stellar. We claimed the account, jumped through a few hurdles to prove ownership of the email address & to show that the email address did belong to the Inn. Was easy peasy, but that was three years ago so I can't tell you the exact steps, sorry.

I am sure some have had experience with this. My first not so educated thought was that it is usually the other way around.
Convincing them to drop bad reviews from a previous owner. I think I read on here that a name change might not even be enough.

welcome!
i agree. as long as the name and url stays the same, i think you are fine. it's great that you've got a good reputation to live up to. the problem is the other way around - taking over an established place with bad reviews and it's hard to get out from under those. i believe t.a. has a help forum.
i took over an old place with a non existent to bad rep as being 'an old wreck of a place' and 'an annex' for the hotel acros the street when there wasn't enough room over there. but this was before t.a. became the force that it is today.

I don't think there is anything they will do, and in fact most have a hard time separating them and have changed their B&B name to get out from under the bad ones.

Congratulations and Welcome to the Club - the Perspiring Innspiring.

Are the reviews good? Don't worry. Do you have access to the owner's page on ta? Don't worry.
:welcome:
If you have bad reviews then you don't get t pick and choose. Either you start fresh at the bottom of the list and work your way up or you start immediately responding to all reviews with 'new owners here. Our plans are too fix x,y and z. Come see what we're doing!'
If the PO's had the ta account, get the pw from them.

We inherited a business with a stellar TA reputation, and as part of the sales agreement the owners agreed to give us all login and password information for all online sites, including TA. We simply logged in, changed the billing and credit card info, and moved forward.
