Hi everyone. I have a quick ?. Does anyone know if there is a time frame for a TA review. I had a horrible customer over 15 years ago that over the years has harassed me. He now has posted a TA review. I was just wondering if this is ok with TA? I never could find any info on this in their guidelines.
 
Make sure you put a clear response (as owner) to their review, what kind of person this is!
 
Go into your ta management page and file a complaint. It's a bit after the fact (you could have filled a pre -emptive complaint) but if you have any documentation (emails sent to you) you can tell ta you have that and that the stay was 15 years ago.
And then email all of us and tell us this losers name!
 
He wrote he stayed in NOV 2014 that is lie. you can have it taken down.
the review said "Spent our ...several years back..." but the date on it says STAYED NOV 2014"
He also called you a liar, #2 to have it removed.

NO! Don't reply until after TA has reviewed. Replying can be taken as saying that it did happen.
 
I think it's 1 year. When you write a review there's a drop down menu for when you stayed and it only shows 12 months prior.
Definitely they will pull it. for the reasons stated in previous posts. My last vindictive review was pulled after 3 days. I did do an owner's response that was posted the same night as the review.
 
It was bad. Hope you can get it removed. Look up all your 5 star reviews you have, it will make you feel better! 15 years ago....huh? Don't they have a life besides driving innkeepers crazy?!?
Yeah, send me the email with their name, too.
 
However, the review just before the awful one is a riot. Read that one a few times and have a good laugh.
But definitely complain to TA about the time it took them to write this and the harassment.
 
How horrible! You know it's a lie and so would anyone else who reads it because of all your other reviews. Still, it would make me sick. Definitely contact TA. Tell them it's slanderous.
 
TA's guidelines say that the review is supposed to be submitted within one year of the experience that is being reviewed. However, unless there is some give-away in the review itself, you might have a hard time convincing TA that the review doesn't comply -- they don't fact-check. Scrutinize the review carefully for any other obvious guideline violation and dispute the review on that basis, if you can.

I think the review implies the stay was 'a couple of years ago' even tho they checked Nov 2014.
 
Thanks for all your comments.This guy has been a royal pain for over 15 years. We tried everything we could to make this guy happy while he was here. He just could not be pleased. He did not tell me he had a handicap when he booked. He was a very healthy size man and he had a hard time with getting around. He stated he arrived for breakfast at 7am. We don't serve breakfast until 9. Yes, no one would be around for breakfast and the dining room would be locked. Hello!!!!! Anyway, I was talking with a rep who has been trying to get us to list on the Business listing on TA. I talked a little about this knowing she could not help but might have a suggestion. She connected me to a customer service rep for Reviews. They said it sounded like it was not within their guidelines because in the review he stated that he stayed several years back. So I went on and reported it and now we will see if they remove it. Thanks for all your suggestions and I will let you know how it turns out!
