Has anyone used TinyLetter?
Looking for new ways to get emails read - since the weekly news readership goes up and down. I myself get more email newletters than I care to read and I signed up for them. So I do understand.
And some folks say 'No one told me about that' but it was right there in the email that goes out each week. We use vertical response and mailchimp.

How about redesigning the newsletter? Coming up with different subject lines?
Is the info available online also?
Do you know your open rate?

I use all the 'tools' available, trying to change it up with catchy phrases and images and we know the open rate of each email. Yes, it's online too. I have different templates I use. Sometimes I stay with the one that is our brand, other times I like to go with seasonal or event related.
For one place our numbers are good. Last newsletter had a 50.8% open rate ... our list average is 43 and our 'industry' is 23. And if the teaser or headline is from a specific person - the open rate jumps to about 60%. So comparatively it's a wow ...
For the other there are similar industry averages and we hover right around that mark, just 23. Would love to jump it up. And the click throughs are only at between 1 and 2% for both, same as the industry. ugh
I am just playing with this new idea to try to reach more people so wondered if anyone used the tinyletters. I know it's not the same industry as innkeeping so maybe this should be in off topic ...

What I was thinking was 'before paying for something else,' but if you have a 50% open rate, that's great.
Didn't realize this was a freebie.
Give it a try, see how it works out.
