Apparently Americans are cooling their love affair with fake sugar. Do you have a variety of real and industrial sugar for guests or just one kind?
I'm running out of the pink packet and not planning to restock. Will do the same with the blue and yellow stuff as they run out.

Real sugar and the yellow stuff. We go through a lot of the yellow stuff. Are you saying that when you run out you'll no longer buy any 'industrial' sugar? If so, I see some grumpy people headed your way (even more than usual).

That's the plan. At least the pink and blue. I'm always amazed that anyone would use as much as they do. That yellow stuff is what? 10x sweeter than sugar and guests are dumping 3-4 packs in at a time.
I know, it's none of my business. But I watched Gomez spend more than a week with violent stomach pains, dizziness, nausea, etc after drinking something sweetened with the yellow stuff. So, I don't use it for baking.
Maybe that's the wrong hill to die on. ;-)

My dr wants me to cut out all sugar...Don't see that happening...mostly I use stevia. But the real stuff for baking. But I haven't had not one bite of any baked goods in way over a month. And what do I have to show for it...nada!!!

The only way to cut out all sugar is to only prepare completely fresh food. Everything in a can, jar or box is full of sugar.
Ugh.

The yellow stuff isn't that sweet. Nobody likes the pick stuff anymore. I have a big 2 cup mug I use for coffee for myself. Pink I would use 1 packet, but yellow I would need 3. I don't think you need to supply multiple types, but just 1. But don't make that 1 the pink stuff.

I think that might cause some guest consternation. Many do not use sugar and will be complaining, on review sites if not to you personally.
I think the guests should be allowed to make their own choice

Yep..that's what he wants, all fresh fruits and vegetables and organic meats. No dairy, no grains. Wants me to do for a month. I doubt I will be doing this unless it is a matter of life and death and its not that

We have packets of the pink, yellow and blue as well as the real white stuff. We also have honey on the sideboard for anyone who might like to go natural and can deliver maple syrup if anyone asks. Personally we do not use any sugar in our beverages but I go through a fair amount during the season when I am baking every day.
Our guests use all of the sweeteners...some would definitely not be happy if I eliminated any of them. On the other hand, I have found that people who MUST have the pink sweetener often carry their own.

We have the real thang, plus pink, blue, yellow, and green. Pink is chosen more than blue, but less than green or yellow. Also have West Virginia honey (very local) and maple syrup from the county I grew up in (great stuff). They can choose whatever they want to put in their bodies. Not chancing a bad review on the basis of not having their phony sugar of choice. Personally, I choose to NOT live better thru chemistry. No phony anything and no prescriptions. My only departure is gel cap pain capsules if I have been up & down stairs a lot or doing a lot of walking that day.

We have the pink and yellow here as well as the real stuff and local honey (it can't be any more local

)
We stopped carrying the blue a long time ago as no one was using it any more.
Now it seems the pink rarely used.
We do stock more of the yellow as it is not as sweet as the other packets. (It is what I use but DH likes Stevia)

I have found more people are using the real sugar and more often now I am seeing people sweetening their coffee with honey.

the trouble with artificial sweeteners is that the more you use, the more you need. based on my own observation - no lab study here. i have a friend who is now using small mountains of the blue. she knows it but seems trapped. her doctor told her to cut back on sugar, this is her way of doing that. not good.
i was at a DD about two years ago getting an extra large hazelnut coffee and i dumped in three packets of the yellow. still didn't seem sweet enough! that stopped me in my tracks and i went cold turkey, stopped using it.
also i've read that the chemicals stay in your system for ages. would i lecture a guest about this? never. just sayin'
can i tell the difference between the sweeteners? yes, i believe i can.
have noticed that there is one artificial sweetener that is all the same thing and comes in a variety of colored packets. not sure who makes those!
i will use natural stevia as it's plant based but none of the other packets. i carry my own because it's expensive and often not provided. i try to limit my use of that, too.
it's nice for you to put out a variety but i used to put out all varieties, also white sugar, raw sugar and honey - i don't know if it was appreciated or not. when i suddenly ran out of things (i suspect my guests were putting packets in their pockets and purses for later) no one asked ... 'do you have any .....?' i went across the street to the little hotel and he had sugar and pink packets. that was it.

The one that goes fastest here is the raw sugar. And yes, I come out in the morning and there is not a single empty pack in the trash but all the raw sugar is gone.

Raw sugar is good. That is actually the real thing, why they remove the molasses, which actually has some benefits, will never understand...
I use splenda; most other artificial seem to have some evidence of issues. Also, seems to taste better (compare coke zero to diet Cole, eg
.)

Not sure if I am understanding you correctly regarding the comparison of the 2 Coke products mentioned above. Both of these products use aspartame (blue packets) as their artificial sweeter, but Zero uses a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium (yellow). The Company does make a Diet Coke product using only Splenda but it is not easy to find.

Stock yellow only. I am one of the minority that has a very bad aftertaste from stevia. But otherwise we stock the white sugar (vegan friendly). The raw isn't really available, here. Sometimes we have people who ask for brown, but brown is actually a totally fake product. They add molasses to the white stuff.

Better still is the high test stuff from Mexico made with real sugar. Much easier to find at this time of year. But there's a coffee bar here that stocks it year round.

FYI, the brown packets are still processed. Not as processed as white sugar, but still processed. Really raw sugar isn't very sweet and has a very strong flavor (to me it is kind of acidic).
I like to mix all the colors together to deter thieves. They usually want only one color and picking through the bowl is too much effort for more than one or two packets.

Used to put out blue, pink & yellow as well as real sugar and honey. When I ran out of pink I did not buy anymore. I recently ran out of yellow and have only had blue out there and they are being used just as much - but more sugar is used over the sweeteners. So I think anyone who uses these artificial sugars will use what you have so don't sweat it and just use one if you want. I will not bake with any of these products, just white and brown sugar.
Tonight our kids had a fundraising event at their school. All the real sugar was gone and only the sweeteners which I have never used were there for my coffee. I had a pick of all 3 and went with one yellow. I'm still tasting that stuff two hours later - yuck! I'm not sure how anyone adjusts to it.
