The Headboard is Done

Today has been a total ZOO. 7:15 AM I was checking in vendors for our annual Arts & Crafts Festival (COLD & DAMP), then at 11:00 I was doing photos at the Community Garden - some college girls were going to work in the Garden but it was too wet. Youngest daughter came in last night and she cut grass this morning. Then the headboard was delivered and installed. Now we are getting ready to go have our anniversary dinner at the Crab Shack - but I wanted you to see it.
Update: Here is the logo up close at the center of the headboard and the next photo is with the lights I got for it (it ended up without the "lip" I wanted because DH did not have it in the drawing). It is ready for our honeymooners Saturday - that is why the foil rose (chocolate).

Love that laser cut out of the inn top center. Very nice. I wish I could find something similar for our new vac rental. I still have time. That project is on hold a bit due to health issues here.

It is solid oak. You should have seen Chad & his Dad getting it up the stairs. I was afraid one or both was going to keel over. I told them - up a stair, rest it on the stair, then go up one more. It is how I get things up the stairs. Then he used the honey oak stain on it. I forgot to take the lamps up. After Sheryl leaves, I will be taking photos to be ripped to shreds until I am told they are good enough to post.

See didn't we all tell you it would be worth it? think of all the improvements - bed and so on you have improved this year so far alone! be justifiably proud of yourself!

WOW! Well done. The laser treatment on top is neat ! I hope it stands out seeing it with the naked eye. Love the idea of using your house. Just very cool!!!.
