This is off the topic but a cute story from last week. I am in the middle of school/farm visits---May and June---pre kindergarten and kindergarten. Last Tuesday, 5 year old Braxton was out with his class. He is a special needs child, ADD and some other issues. Part of my spiel in the chicken house is: "Those are fresh eggs. The chickens laid them this morning. There art no babies in them. Tonight I will collect the eggs and tomorrow morning have scrambled eggs for breakfast." On Friday the same teachers were out with different classes and Braxton was with them. When I get to the "and tomorrow morning I will have scrambled eggs for breakfast" he said to me "AGAIN?"

That is so cute.
Thank you for taking the time to DO the farm visits. I know what that entails. We (the City) do Play Day in the Park for our elementary school. (We could not do it without the volunteers that help, including the County Parks & Rec. Just coordinating buses/activities/chaperones can be a nightmare.)

Another cute story from the last school visit of the year: The little children were standing outside along the fence. I was inside with the nanny goat explaining the important parts of her. When I work my way down to the udder I tell them: "and this is her udder where she makes her milk and this is her nipple where the baby gets breakfast, lunch, and dinner and all the snacks it wants anytime night or day. Isn't that a pretty cool life?" One little girl said "Wow. I wish my mother would do that!"

Out of the mouths of the young.
I use to love the show "kids say the darndest things" first with Art Linkletter then with Bill Cosby.
Thanks for the chuckles...
