Uhm shouldn't that be, " should be 2016, not 2015"?I see a typo near the bottom of the home screen. It says "Knowledge Sharing Summit and Marketplace - April 4-6, 2015, Nashville, TN". Should be 2016, not 2016. This summit might be a good place for some of us near Nashville to have a little get together.
I just joined AIHP. I'm excited about this organization! The goals sound really good..

Does AIHP have a logo yet? I need a member badge for my website since I dropped PAII..
I joined for the advocacy aspect. This is one place I do not look for benefit other than standing together to make a voice louder than Kathleen spitting in the wind.I received a personal call today from a board member. Apparently they're calling individual B&Bs and making pitches for membership. I told the caller I had received information about joining, but hadn't had time to review it and decide if the benefit was worth the cost..

I joined for benefit: the continuing education, trade show, and camaraderie aspect. I don't expect a lot of results from advocacy, but will be happy with whatever they might accomplish there.gillumhouse said:I joined for the advocacy aspect. I shared some ideas with them. It sounds as if they have some similar ideas. The "knowledge sharing" tagline is an example of what they hope to do. I would like to think they will be trying to avoid falling into the same old conference paradigm.I received a personal call today from a board member. Id be looking at webinars for key topics, facebook, twitter, marketing - where anyone who joins can watch them any time.I joined for the advocacy aspect. Got that call too. Wasn't able to talk at the time, so he asked if it was OK to send an e-mail. Sure (I am already subscribed to their mailing list....)I received a personal call today from a board member. Apparently they're calling individual B&Bs and making pitches for membership. There is plenty of time to ask them to install one. You never know- they might.I see the Nashville AIHP meeting is at an airport hotel with no car charger :-(
So I'll probably fly in and take their free shuttle to the hotel.
Wish the big hotels could keep up with the smaller inns regarding car charging! They could install them a lot easier than we can..

Yes I had the same thought. Not counting time, it would cost me $4 to drive there in the electric car, vs. hundreds to fly. Plus, when you look at TSA security time, it's almost as fast to drive!happykeeper said:There is plenty of time to ask them to install one. You never know- they might.
