"She" was strange when she checked in but things only got stranger as the stay went on.
1st - She had no idea that commas, periods, sentences or paragraphs are part of everyday and civilized conversation.
2nd - In spite of saying she would be down for breakfast, with "special" requests, she didn't show until 11:00 - check-out time and not to check-out but for a late breakfast - NOT!
3rd - In her machine-gun conversation she proceeded to tell me that she had a 'thing' about labels..... so she spent some time during the night (yes night) to cut all the labels off of everything in the room. Towels, Linens, Pillows, Mattress/Pillow covers, bed warmers, housecoats; did I forget anything. Then when she was in the bathroom she DID THE SAME. She apologized for not having good scissors and for having to use nail-clippers. Gee Thanks for nothing.
4th - Also thought she would help clean the bathroom when she was done so happily cleaned the tub, sink and toilet with my now label-free towels and washclothes and "oh I carry my own bleach so was able to disinfect them at the time". Ruined towels arghhhhh.
5th - Actually took 4 more hours to get out of the B&B. Good gracious it was like pushing string. Disfunction up the gazzoo.
6th - Phone multiple times to rebook in, but surprisingly there was Nothing Available.
She moved on to another local B&B and ended up 'charging them' for her extra services like door security and interior decoration consultations and missed check-in time. I think I got off easy.

billing her for the vandalism? Or you could point out you will be filing charges with the police, unless she wants to settle up ...

did not quite understand this one. She called other B&Bs? She called back to you for an additional stay?

yikes.

Hi Undersea.
She was a challenge.
6th - Each time she phoned to book with us again, I told her "nothing available", didn't need to deal with all those issues again.
Thanks for taking time to respond.

This is not the norm! So don't panic! I would sigh and say, "We got off good" as you turn and put her on the "do not book" list. (Which it seems like you already did.) I would gulp the damaged for this one.... I figure the other B & B did charge her for damage and that's why she is charging them in return.
Also email me off forum with the name!

Holy moly, I must say, I would have exploded. I also would have handed her needle and thread to re-attach the labels. WTH

Holy Moly is right!!! I don't think I would have let her get away with cutting off labels!!! NO WAY. She would be billed and tell her to take it with her on her way out. If she called again, I would not hesitate to tell her why you would not take her again. No one has the right to treat your property that way and she should know it.

Did you hear the theme song from "The Twilight Zone" play while you read this one? I sure did!

I have a thing for labels... I want mine on because the washing instructions are on. Cutting them off without permission makes them YOURS, now. How do you want to pay for them?
I'm sorry, but legally that destruction of property and I would have been so livid that I would have called the cops on the spot. They would have had to pry me away from the phone at that moment, right then and there. Oh and payment would have been demanded in cash, I wouldn't have let her pay by CC because she could reverse it.
If she had the gall to call me again, I would have simply said that we aren't a right fit for you and to please look elsewhere. If she insisted any more, I would point out that she committed property damage and is persona non grata and I consider her telephone calls to be harrassment and any further calls will be logged by call-trace and I will gladly lay the charges against her. (And I assure you... and anyone who knows me well knows.. I would press the charges.)
