Anyone else seeing an increase in review posts? In almost half the year I have reached the number of reviews it took me all year last year to get. Same # as 2013.
I don't get a lot of reviews, so it was easy to count

I am not doing much of anything different. I do not request reviews. I tried in 2013, some when saying good bye other times in followup emails. It didn't go anywhere.
I now have a statement in the email that we would love to have feedback about their stay. That leaves it to them as to how to provide it.
Maybe this is it, but I doubt it.

People tell me often that they found us by checking TA. So I wonder if the whole idea of reviews is catching on to more people now. They read them, then they write them. ?? Not based on science or math, just observation.

more and more are looking to review sites these days. A trend that will continue to grow.

No review uptick here. I got one last week and it was the first in months.
I bury a "review us on TA" request at the bottom of my post-stay e-mail. It's below my signature, trying to not press people for a review, but to offer.

I don't know - we have had more but we have had more volume so works out about the same
however don't know if others agree but most have review fatigue - I know I do - you buy anything and have to fill in a 2 page questionnaire about how it went - its all too much!

Not I. We can't seem to get anyone to post a review. They assume that with over 200 we have enough. It's annoying.

The last on I got was maybe because I asked them before they left, ( I knew he really enjoyed the place). I do know my guest check me out on TA cause they tell me when they call.

We give them a review request card at checkout, and include the links for TA, FB, Google+ & Yelp reviews in our post-visit email. I still find the most effective way to get them is to verbally ask for them over breakfast prior to checkout.

Most of our guests also say they saw us on TA but don't know if that is how they found us.
We use TripConnect through TA and while we have gotten a few bookings that way it is not where most are booking. They are going to our website (no TA business listing) and booking direct.

Not TA, but I've gotten a couple Google ones in the past week. That's unusual and welcome. I've also gotten a couple reviews from recent guests on my FB page. Those are pretty useless, but I appreciate them taking the time to do it.

Your review numbers are very similar to ours. It seems they come in bunches and the only thing we do is send out our follow up email that guides them.
Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to enhance the K------------- experience. If your stay was anything less than exceptional, we would appreciate the opportunity to address it directly. Your feedback is an invaluable way for us to improve the experience of all of our guests and we would love to hear from you.
If your experience was exceptionally enjoyable in some way, we hope you will consider taking a few minutes to share your experience at your favorite travel site. We use tripadvisor.com when we travel and we are always grateful when our guests leave a review for us there.

We look forward to hearing from you or perhaps seeing you again.
Aloha,

OOO. I do wish we got more Google ones

Have to be careful when you make the request. When they use your wifi to give the review, it does not go over well with the review sites. You want a different IP
