Oh, I loathe groups, except for the one that is here right now. they even protected my beloved chickens and their coop from those amazingly nasty boys in cottage 8.
That group I can deal with all summer long.
 
Now I'll join the fun and tell about my wedding group. Three sisters coming to town in October for a wedding. Each wanted their own suite, for 7 nights. The lead sister (there's always a leader) started asking for discounts above the usual 20% I knock off for a stay of 7 or more nights.
She got me to knock off another $20/night/suite since they were taking so many room nights (I don't do food or daily maid service, so can discount when I'm in the mood).
Not surprisingly, she e-mailed today that 2 of the sisters can't make it to the wedding after all, and she only needs ONE suite, for TWO nights!
No problem, really. October is a long way off and now I'll probably rent many of those discounted nights at full rate.
But I'm just waiting for her to balk at paying full rate for the 2 nights she's now booking (down from 21). Just try me ma'am. No discount!

Hmmm. She just paid her deposit (first night's charges) with no questions. I LOVE the ResKey payment links that let you send them a link to make their deposit after you've booked them manually.
I guess after all she put me through (about 10 emails exchanged setting it up before she cancelled 90% of it today) she's not going to question paying full rate.
Or, she's waiting to spring it on me later.
