I remember in 1985 I entered the info of a client of mine into my computer. He was born in 1895 but in those days database programs only took the last two digits of the year, so I put his birth year as 95. The program then printed his age as -10 on all his paperwork.

By the way I'm not one of them!

Ok, let's play! What one thing have you seen in your lifetime, thus far, that did not exist before you were born?
My favorite is the walk on the moon.

Little like the Y2K calamity they thought would bring down western civilization due to doomsday predictions of legacy code...

Can't beat the moon walk, but seeing the one Michael Jackson did was pretty impressive!
Having been raised on B&W, seeing my first color TV probably wowed me more than anything else I've seen.

Calculators. Our first one was huge. They taught us how to use an abacus in school.

I specifically said walk on the moon rather than moon walk for just this reason. ;-)

The obvious is computers but dies anyone remember the punch cards that early computers used?

I remember about 1970. I was excited about the new calculators like the Bowmar Brain. But the best jingle was "Rockwell Calculators have big green numbers and little rubber feet!!!"
