Anyone get an email saying they were signed up for Instagram?
It's not like our email is easy to make a mistake on. You really have to type the whole thing out.
Not like someone mistyping bobbo @ gmail or bobo @ gmail.
 
Are they taking it from an email contact address on your website. Lately I have not put email links on sites but force people to use the CONTACT form with captcha. Seems to have cut down alot on their spam.
 
I got one and it was from the real instagram saying that it was an e-mail validation for a new account. I notified them I didn't do it.
I'm thinking that maybe I should create an account with our biz e-mail just so no one else can. I don't plan on using instagram, it would just put me in a social media coma if I add one more thing!

No idea where they got the email. Could have been anywhere.
Are they figuring someone is just going to authorize the account? Then they use you biz name for evil?
I got a welcome email as well as the authorizing one.

That's a good idea. Claim your name! Instagram only works from a phone, right?
I can barely keep up with my own website, much less all the other options.
Maybe if I wrote up a social media plan and stuck to it. But if you don't reply to questions people get grumpy. I can't be doing that all day.

I went in and created an account using our biz e-mail. I figured at least no one else can try to claim it.

my tablet posts photos and cameras that have wi fi connection too:
cant you post photos from your computer as well? i thought i did before but it has been a long time so not sure

For some reason I thought it was just from a mobile device. But I never checked.

Got another one this morning from Twitter where I actually DO have an account. They used a different email addy than the one I used to create the account.

I think it is only from a mobile device. You can, however, have an automatic link to post to your Facebook account from Instagram. At one of my innsit jobs, I just got used to taking pics on my phone from Instagram instead of from the camera.
