Who wrote that? - Not ME!

Lots of talk about the Booking buttons on Google for our B&B's and the wording about availability, but have you noticed the description about your B&B in that Big Box?
Mine has changed 3 times in the last couple weeks. Not my words, not all factual either.
It's like reading an OTA 3rd party affiliate's description and no way to get it corrected.

Mine doesn't have any description in the big box. Just the address & phone number and a couple of G+ reviews at the bottom.

Mine had a description that I tried to figure out, too. Thank you! I thought it was something from the old website that magically reappeared. I was going to edit my home page to see if I could get something new to show up in there. But it might not even be from my website!

Here too. And the reviews, though good are on the oldy moldy (aging) side.

I have no description but the check in & check out calendars are still there with no where to go. The book Now button is still there but the misleading words have been changed.
I do not have any Goo+ reviews.

I only have two g reviews. One from before we bought the place, very negative. And one from a friend (who did stay here, no lying.) She specifically addresses the negative review saying there are new owners.
Not a big review site.

Mine started with no description. Then it added a description that I still see when I use a mobile devise and now a 3rd more detailed description appears in the box.
This was not taken from any OTA site that I am on. I believe Goo gle gnomes are doing this. Where the info is coming from beats me!

I think it's because you have less than 10 of them. TA tends to do that also before you get a significant number of reviews. It's strange.
Oh, and my box has 4 corners and 12 reviews

I think it's because you have less than 10 of them. TA tends to do that also before you get a significant number of reviews. It's strange.
Oh, and my box has 4 corners and 12 reviews

hmmm, I have 4 G+ reviews. Don't remember but one of the guests. But in the box there's nowhere to check for availability, I suppose that's good, because there's a link to our website

same here ... I mean about the 4.7

Copperhead I'm glad you mentioned this ... there are descriptions on G that I can't find verbatim. It's so odd ... similar but not. Is it a computer grabbing text and rewriting it or people?

It could be a mixture, but where are they directing the search to grab from? I have no idea where some of the info would have come from.
I had to laugh at part of our description "this straightforward B&B" who would use that in a description?

I just went to look at our google reviews. The one horrible one we had which was libelous (google wouldn't remove it unless we could prove we had filed a lawsuit) has disappear. YaaHoo! It's been there for about a year. I'm sure the owner of the review didn't remove it themselves. So, I'm hoping that google has some sort of algorythym that removes at least the bad ones after a year. I have 2 reviews that are 2 years old and they are still there.
