We did the 4-day motorcycle event Thurs - Sunday. Friday was the Road Ride. Here are some photos from my view -

The clouds formed a "lake" between the ridges

I was in the sidecar attached to a 1954 Harley Panhead motorcycle. McKee was riding the "tail" in case someone had problems (the General (retired) lost an oil plug and returned to the event). He said the sidecar went off the road to make a turn - gravel and dust flew and he thought Kathleen would be panicking but then saw the camera come up taking photos.
I will post one of the photos from the event photographer when he gets them posted for purchase. It was a fantastic blast.

Glad to hear that you are having time off! Enjoy it and take lots of pictures!

We came home last night. I unloaded the 9 paintings and the drawing board with the current effort (a Crocker motorcycle) taped to it today - as well as 2 loads of laundry from the room that left Thursday a couple hours before we did. No guests but had a City Council meeting tonight so right back in the swing. It was a lovely getaway even if I was a "roadie" to Himself.

yay! woot woot (or maybe beep beep) Hope we can see a picture of you in sidecar and helmet!! :)

I wouldn't be surprised to hear next that Gillum is bungee jumping or parachuting.

Mary ... but not the boyfriend?

omy At my age, when a new guy roars up on his 'bike' I want to hide in the back yard, pretend I'm not here.

I have been in a glider, Piper, prop job, many jets, and a helicopter. Still missing my balloon ride. Rubber bands break and it is sooooo permanent so the bungee never had any lure for me. I used to want to parachute jump but thinking about leaving that perfectly good airplane kind of made me hesitate - now the knees have made the final statement and closed the book on that one.
Rode in and drove a Prius, rode in a Tesla and passed on he offer to drive (I KNOW what the first pedal to the right is, and USE it) but we were in town and I experienced the oomph of that pedal in the back seat. Felt discretion was the best move (same reason I passed on the tank).
I rode the back of a motorcycle, rode my own motorcycle (2 of them actually - a 750 and then an 1100), on a trike, and now a sidecar. All have been wonderful experiences.
