We have limited parking and we are in the big city, so we charge for parking. When booking direct we offer it at X dollars (oh, let's call it $10) plus our 10% online booking discount, so it's $9. When booked via third parties we only offer it a few days before arrival and we charge $13 which must be prepaid (and can't be cancelled). since it may be paid by third party and therefore we don't have their CC on file. We usually say that at the door it's $15.
I have to say that so far... it's great and I'm not getting arguments on the price either.
So, here is my question....
I realize that I should re-offer it to my guests who haven't booked yet booked it. Do I offer it to them at $10 or $13? Do I add it to their tab or do I make them prepay it like I do the third party? Should I put it into the confirmation, so they can go back to it there, if they want to? Do I offer it in my recall email? Or do I put it on a special page that is just for my guests so they can explore the availability of our parking before booking?

Do you get a lot of people who come by taxi or limo?
I guess I would expect the parking to be included in the price of the room, unless you get a lot of people who don't bring a car.
I guess I would put it in the confirmation in big letters, "Parking on site at additional fee." Or, "Parking available at a daily charge."

A lot of people come without vehicles. I'm in the big city... where most places charge $20 to $25 a night for parking and almost no where is there free parking except the suburbs. But I want to know if after the first time when they book, where I offer it for $10, should the later offer be for $10 or at the $13 prepaide that I offer it to OTA guest for?

Go for the $13. If that is what you charge the book company, why not charge the same. $3 looks better in YOUR wallet than in theirs. They are still getting a deal. It is just one of the costs of travel - still cheaper than "Resort Fees" for things you do not/will not use.

I would include it everywhere. First come first served. I would also charge the full $13 which is an amazing deal! If it's your booked guests, just add it on their bill.

Would they be more likely to book the parking when booking the room if they knew that the price goes up as time goes by? i.e. it's $10 if booked when booking the room, it's $13 if pre-booked later, and it's $15 at the door (assuming availability!)
Pre-paid, assuming you also take a deposit on the room. Otherwise, add it on to their bill, I guess.

What we are trying now, after a few of the comments on here is that for everyone, if they book direct and request parking, it's $10. Anytime after that, the parking comes back at $13.
The $10 gets added to their bill. The $13 must be paid immediately.
