FaceBook Beacon

Just got my Facebook Bluetooth Beacon, but I am clueless as to its use.
Anyone????

Explain what that is. How did you get it?

I think I will pass on this. I do not think I want my guests to see my FB posts. I welcome them in person.

We got ours today as well. Since we all have a business fb page, why not use it. they say that it gives people who have their bluetooth engaged/turned on can see more of what we post?

Got mine today and activated it (which is simply pulling the shipping tab out). So far, all I can see it it displays a splash welcome page from me to guests who use their phones, laptops or pads to get on Facebook.

So did you just get this out of the blue or did you have to sign up? I get a message saying it's limited and I have to be on a waiting list.

It came up once 2-3mths ago when I was on my business page. I went ahead and said yes.
Go ahead and get on the wait list.
I don't have FB on my phone so I don't know what it actually does. I'll let my DD show me on her phone.

I believe it may generate more likes to your business page, hopefully keeping more people interested in your FB posts.

UPDATE:
I have had the Beacon 'on' for a week now. I have 3 new likes/check-ins through this and 1 new 5* review.

This is my slow period... the 3 new likes mean EVERY guest has added us.
