A long time guest's husband died this year. Coming here is her first trip alone. She decided this would be a good place to test her wings as she feels safe here and knows we'll take good care of her.
What a wonderful gift her confidence in us gives to us.
 
Oh that is so wonderful But be prepared for some tears from you both I expect. But give her a great big hug. All will be well.
 
A perfect place to test her wings and the perfect people to do it with. Bless you.

Glad to hear that about her feeling safe with you. Sorry to her of her lost. It's a struggle when you lose a partner I hear.
 
She will feel comfort and it also will be a time of reflection of great memories they shared together.

A wonderful gift that she does not even know she is giving.
 
It's always wonderful to be reminded of how we touch people's lives. Most of the time we never even know it.
 
THAT is what it is all about. I do not plan a B&B/other services for the money. My job pays decently and I have al the benefits.
I plan it to: impact the lives of others, to teach, to feel the satisfaction of having something that is mine, to leave a legacy, etc.

how will you run a b&b and all else you want if you are still working your regular job? i am confused...

I will not be the primary worker, DW will. We also intend to hire help once we can get enough business. She is far more impatient to start than I am. Will assist evenings and Sat/Sun...
Having a job helps with medical, as well as cashflow.
