I obviously did not understand how the air calendar works. When I set it up I thought when I selected guests could book up to 6 months out that it was from THAT day only, not a rolling calendar! I just had a request for dates when we're closed for the month. Went and checked and I have availability until Feb. Had to go block that whole mess off. But you have to update the calendar everyday.
Knock one day off this month, add another one at the end of the 6 months. Maybe I need to change to 3 months so I can keep a handle on it.

Which is why we severely limit the dates on Air. We have a 3 month booking period and set prices HIGH and lower as needed.

I thought it meant just 6 months. Then I was going to reassess how it worked. I can switch to just 3 months but I still have to remember to block off everyday.
At least the guests seemed to understand.

Do you have it linked to your reservation system? I never have to think about it since I was able to us ical and link ResKey & Air together.

No, my system can't do that yet. One more thing it can't do yet.

Well you are not alone! I didn't realize that either. Grrr.

There was another system I had to work this issue out. On that site it was easier as I just did not provide a full year, it only tacked on a day when the system was set for a full year of data. This one not so much. I may end up using a channel mgr after all.

its why I only do reservation request - too much to keep up with otherwise - my channel manager is working on syncing up and I may go to live booking then but not otherwise.

I can't go to live booking... Air doesn't support it. It's actually them who are behind 6 hours for syncing.

Set it for 3 months and set your base rate high. So you have to go in there and put it down. It opens up, but at a rate no one will book at.
