The post and signature were abiding by forum rules by being up front. Regardless I'm not interested in upsetting forum members so I have deleted the post.

I just went onto your hotel website. Why in the heck would I give you my name and email address just to see if there is availability? That's not the way to "get more direct bookings". That just doesn't cut it.
Sorry, but before I would ever have someone do an analysis of my website, I would need to be impressed by your work or your input. You've only posted a few time on this forum and it seems that you're cruising for more clients rather than wanting to be an active forum member.

I agree. His signature is inappropriate, trolling for customers
And then give a stranger my credentials? Get lost...

Thank you for your feedback. You bring up some good points.
What works for me doesn't necessarily work for others. I have strong reasons for onboarding reservations the way I do. It works for me and helps accomplish my goals.
There is no such thing as a cookie cutter design, cookie cutter copy or a cookie cutter reservation process.
Each hotel/b&b/inn needs to take into account the objections and needs of their potential guests.

Sorry we don't have to agree with you and why would anyone put themselves out there to you who we never heard of.
Sounds more like you are trolling. If not, apologies but I doubt you get any takers.

Undersea, I don't think there's any need to say 'Get lost'. You can disagree without saying that.

The get lost is referring to strangers who expect others to hand over their login credentials. With the hundreds of millions of identifying records lost by Target, Home Depot, Michaels, and even the federal government, that is the only correct response. This person has a lot of nerve.

I have been on a lot of forums over the past 20 years. Rule #1 is, even if they do allow moderate self promotion, you should be actively involved in the discussions, helping and being helped. Starting off with what you can do for others, especially disguised as a freebie, is never appropriate.

I don't need a lesson in identity theft.
We can still be polite on this forum; you won't change my mind about the 'appropriateness' of your choice of words.

Brandon... relax, come in, learn a few ideas and share some ideas. Don't worry about individuals. Do what works best for you.
We all have different procedures based on what works for us, what doesn't work for us and our cultures. Some people may not understand how you do things, but that's fine.

I agree, that's what this forum is about. He's an innkeeper and I'm sure we have much in common. Just keep the push for customers out of the picture. Interact with us as innkeeper to innkeeper
