interesting ... hope this has not already been discussed here
Expedia wants to take over Orbitz ... hotels are not happy about fees
 
On the topic of fees... just had guests who were on a 2 week vacation. They bought a ton of bb.com gift cards (on sale) to use for their stay.
They had a few left over and asked why we didn't take them. They were stunned by the fees we have to pay.
 
They are not the only ones, we don't use any major ones and we achieved 98% occupancy in August and our best month ever in 12 years in terms of turnover.

Those GC are on sale more often than not!
