ody sys dot com No space in the first two 'words'. I am curious about it.

$99 for up to 10 rooms. No REAL demo. I hate this "Start For Free". What... my time has no value? If I have to get and spend time to test it, that has a value.

Just saw that on the Rockford Files - "a legitimate business always has a rate sheet."

Don't you hate when there are no listed prices? It always make me feel like the price depends on what I look like, how much money there are in my account, etc.

"I like to size up a mark before I scam them." (Sorry, I watched a lot of 70's TV this week.)

Humm, I saw a price of $99 per mth for up to 10 rooms and goes up based on room increments

yes, I saw the prices as well. scrolling down on their home page. I bring it up because I have a friend who is just starting his b&b ... has pennies like I did when I just started out for website and marketing and social media and reservations. The renovations and repairs on his place are costing $$$$$ ... surprise!

Getting a website setup isn't that difficult or expensive. I resell hosting and it comes at $7 a month for the basic package. That find someone on Fivver or Elance to setup the Wordpress template and set up RK. Likely cost less over a year's time. That's $32 a month plus setup costs verses $99 a month?

Doesn't it also include the reservation system? I don't know what a booking system costs for ten guest rooms - if he's able to get all ready.
His partner bailed, the one who knows more about the b&b biz, reservations, web design. So he asked if I knew anything about odys
I hope he joins innspiring, then he can ask for himself.

Yes, it seems to. But RK is $25 for 10 rooms instead of $99. Add $17 if you want to have a channel manager for the OTAs.

I wounder if you would own your website & domain if you bailed them? That is the problem with some of these all in one's out there.

Can someone please tell me what the term "turnaround" means, as it relates to Innkeeping...hmm?.
Without further context, I will guess that it means "turn-over" or "change-over" as in when you completely clean and re-make a room after one guest leaves and before the next guest arrives.

Just glancing at it, it looks decent for getting started. A website plus booking engine for $99 per month is pretty good. But I bet that even as a starter, someone would want something more advanced pretty quick. We pay $90 per month for Rezstream, but they have a lot of great features that I really use. They charge that rate up to 9 rooms. To me it's worth it because it keeps track of EVERYTHING--packages, taxes, gift shop items, who buys what, anniversary dates. Their customer service is superb. The software is cloud based and mobile friendly, so we can take and make reservations from anywhere.
If I had seen this before I built my website, I might have used it to get a nice responsive website plus booking engine to get off the ground.

But then booking suite owns your website. You decide you don't want them any longer, tough. You've lost control of your product. You can always get a new website and/or domain but that's a lot of effort just to save 5% on the commission.

The old website is saved so if one cancels Booking Suites it is easy to reactive the old website.
I joined Booking because they bring in so many reservations I am booked almost every day, whereas my website was mostly weekend bookings, and
I had to deal with guests and their credit cards. This way the credit card info. is all available to me.
