Not the wedding party but a group all going to the same wedding.
Little things - leaving empty coffee cups on tables in the common room instead of in the 'dirty cups' bin. Cuz, of course, they are a group. Use the house as their own.
Medium things - woman asked for cotton sheets. She can't sleep without them. Hubby remade her bed for her.** Then she asked if I could turn off the waterfall on the koi pond. She didn't like the noise. I said, no, because then the fish would die.
The big thing - Sunday, the day after the wedding, I made fruit in heart shapes, individual quiches, blueberry pancakes, extra bacon because they'd finished the bacon the day before, freshly baked anadama bread and all the trimmings. Once everything was lovingly arranged, I was told they were all invited to a brunch at 10:30! They ate nothing. NOTHING.
At least they checked out on time.
**As she was checking out, another couple came to me to gush that those were the most comfortable sheets they'd ever slept on! Where did I get them??? Chuckled to myself hoping she'd overheard.
 
We had a wedding party this weekend too. They hit it off with our innkeeper and she loved them too. Said they would be back and left Jane a wonderful tip. She has been awesome for our business.
 
Too late now but keep this in mind for next time - I always ask if there is a brunch they are attending and will they be eating here. Most eat here and then go to the brunch. But some are reminded that they won't be eating here and they tell me then. Otherwise they really don't think breakfast will be made in advance no matter what they saw the day before.

Yes. We'd never run into this before, but we'll know for next time. I was kind of p-o'd though I know it wasn't personal. But I could have slept an extra hour.
The wedding hosts are neighbors. We don't know them, but hoping they got a good review of our place for next time they have out of town guests in need of a room.

But for guests, these wedding weekends can be 'you're on your own' or 'oh, by the way, join us for brunch tomorrow' or something in between. I went up to a wedding in Maine ... the whole event was at the inn. (big place) Dinner the night before, then the wedding day, then a brunch the following morning. I had no idea I was invited expected at dinner the night before and at brunch the morning after. I rolled in after a seven hour drive to get there and had someone come rushing out to get me as I was 'late' for dinner. Yikers. Someone forgot to tell me I was invited to all these things, plus a hair and makeup coffee and bagel session the morning before the wedding.

This quartet was a mix of normal, lactose-free and gluten free, so gluten free corn bread, normal bread, almond mild and regular half-n-half for coffee or tea, one no milk omelette, two normal omelettes and one polenta with omelette fillings spooned over top. Yes happy campers and now I get coffee and inmate 'chat'.
Am looking forward to last one leaving so I can leave too. DH is in the hosp, heart stuff, ongoing, but will be out soon! yay, then we may be off on our own adventure. :)

Seems we get the dietary oddities all at once, doesn't it. Glad to hear hubby is doing well and you get to take off and relax.

We did cover save the extra tray of quiches that had not gone out to the buffet yet. :) And the gang at my office loved the leftover coffee cake and fruit!!

Glad he is on the mend and coming home soon. BTDT and no one remembers YOU are shouldering everything - HE just has to get better. Hugs to you for doing yeoman's duty keeping everything going and a cheerful smile for him besides. Enjoy your adventure - you earned it the hard way.

Glad to hear that his "vacation" didn't upset your own vacation!!! Hope he will continue to mend and take it easy. I just finished a full weekend by myself....glad to have my aunt back!
