Bless the Lady that cancelled

I had a 3-night rez for this weekend that booked WAY in advance but had to cancel about 3 weeks ago. Darn! Today I say YEA!! as I got a 7-night rez from a company (goo says they are real at the address given) that I would have had to give up had she not cancelled. I just have to set up a cot. in the king room. And bless the folks that booked this weekend for taking the 2 rooms that share to save money (no, they do not know each other). I contacted the first booked and let them know it WOULD be shared and the second booking knew it would be. First ones asked about price for the king, but stayed put.Woohoo!

It was down-graded to 4 nights this afternoon - the job might be done by Monday. Since I am charging the card tonight I made the change - they might still need the other nights. Told the Corp guy making the rez that as of Monday when my weekend bookings check out, I had planned to move the men to the 2 rooms with queen beds & shared bath, leaving the rate as it was. I am still up by one night of revenue.
I am hoping this will get the extension. What it WILL do if it happens, is free up my best room for other bookings when the other 2 would most likely be empty anyway since the private bath sells first.

sometimes this caused me the most stress ... moving things around, cancellations that made a room available for an extended booking (more than 3 nights) but only if I could shift something else. I had eight rooms so it could get complicated. At the time I had one king bed and lots of folks wanted that bed!
