According to a Google alert I just got my inn is for sale for "a pittance and 200 words". I can't access the site that posted this but there are hundreds of pages posted by this site of things for sale.
OK, I was able to look at the cached page and it's a bunch of words scraped from tons of sites all jammed into one big paragraph. But they grabbed the heading from my home page and have added all kinds of for sale stuff after it. Over and over and over.
Not that anyone could find.

How do I do that?

Assuming you have set up the webmaster tools... https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport
.
Thanks. I had the hardest time trying to report something else. I didn't know about this. Ended up never reporting the other issue because everything I found from Google said to contact the offending party and then sue them. Google was not going to interfere any longer in disputes over web content. (Which makes no sense, but that's what I found when trying to find how to complain about stolen content.)

They don't like their database spammed, so they eliminate the site from searches if that's what they find.

Went to report this after finally getting webmaster tools set up. I thought I had done that years ago but it seems when I changed my website all of the data was lost.
Anyhoo...all done. I went to report that site and guess what? I clicked the link to show the page so I could report it and it resolved itself to Trivago! So, it went from being a page that showed my inn for sale (and lots of other garbled crap) to a local page for Trivago. Not good.

For fun I googled "pittance and 200 words" and a contest came up, lots and lots of pages, but not sure who it is.
