When I was cleaning yesterday I noticed the clock in one room was blinking. I thought maybe it had been unplugged. Reset the time and went on my way. It was blinking again this morning.
Ok. Dead battery backup. Opened it up and there is a battery of a brand we've never heard of.
Yes, a guest took the good battery out of the clock and replaced it with their dead one.
I guess I'm thankful they didn't take it out of the smoke detector.

Had someone take the remote batteries a few weeks ago. Talk about cheap. Could have just asked us for some batteries instead.

Is it possible the battery you had in there ran down and they replaced it with another battery that also was down? No, usually people leave the dead battery beside the radio since you can't put them in the trash. I guess I have to agree it is likely they took the battery. Jeez!
