So friendly, with the Thanksgiving wishes and all. How would YOU respond?
Would you rent the room out for a few hours? I am a photographer and my session will last no more than two hours. I've rented hotels in the past for Boudoir sessions, but I'm over the 'hotel feel'. I hope this is something you and I can work out! Have a great night and Happy Thanksgiving!

We've done it before. Make sure you stipulate that they remove you artwork (which they should, since it likely has it's own copyright) and they are required to return everything to it's original spot within their time.

Charge whatever your minimum stay requirement is, justification being that you will still have to do all of the cleaning and change-over that you would have to do for a full stay, regardless of how little time the photo shoot might take (I am assuming that they will be lounging around all over the place, so that you will have to remake the bed, and that they will use the bathroom, etc...)

1. verify the photographer on google and ask for their website/fb page. ensure they are not "bad" disgusting images or anything live online.
2. Ask how many, as we had two photographers, a hair stylist, a make up artist and people queuing up as they booked them 10 or 15 in a row.
3. Ask for a copy to be used in your marketing. They can have their watermark and a link back.
4. We did it, would be allow it again, no. It was a madhouse and I hoped the husbands of these ladies would book a future stay with us, they didn't.

I think I would respond that I can only rent the room per night and the price is XXX

Happy Thanksgiving,
We certainly appreciate your interest in our setting. Our suites are available at our daily rate and you are welcome to use the space between the hours of check-in and check-out. If you will be using the suite for commercial purposes, we will need you to sign a release of liability form and provide a copy of both your boudoir contract and a model release form if one is used two weeks prior to the scheduled event. We look forward to hearing from you.

On second thought, it sounds like a nightmare. Costume changes, fans, lights. Probably more people, like JB said, extra photographer, a hair and makeup person. And then they will spill out into the halls or shout at each other or move furniture.
Worse than a bride.

A boudoir session? This is a first for me. What kind of photo shoot? is it for a wedding album?
If you rent the space at all I would say it would be regular rate because it's going to have to be cleaned. You have big suites, right?
I am not comfortable with renting for a few hours.

All five of my rooms have their own outside entry so coming and going wouldn't be such a problem. The photographer's address is about 45 minutes from here. I'll write back and ask for a little more info, and yes, would have to charge the regular rate because it would have to be cleaned as much as for a full night's rental, and I couldn't rent it to anybody else the day/night they use it.

A local photographer, go for it Arks. See my post. Why not, off season is upon most of us.

Arks I have a new tagline for you...
"I have big suites and I cannot lie"

I've had a google alert set for my place for years. That's how I know nobody ever mentions the place except ME!

As an innkeeper..... Myself. I wouldn't do it. Period. Too risky for your property character especially if you got near by neighbors.
As a photographer.... Even in the photography world this kind raises eyebrows, looks, and questions.

Some of you are thinking the worst... well it could happen! check this article out..
The porn director is already claiming that she knew (and was on premises), it was clean and that she's doing it for the money and publicity. I know that there is a bunch more of these...

The sudden realization that she charged too little or that lots of calls are coming in now to recreate those scenes from the movies and she realizes the rabbit hole she's gone down?

That is what you get when you post just about anything to this forum, the worst. It is what we do best here. And I agree it could happen, but you all need to realize it IS happening without asking permission, fyi. Anyone with a camera or any sort, laptop, ipad can stream something from your guest rooms.
If you don't have your B&B, your town, your names on a google alert yet you are not being wise.
