I just read these while looking for fun ways to serve breakfast over the holidays.
Pancakes - make the pancakes as you always do and cut them with a cookie cutter into holiday shapes.
(I love this because I was looking for pancake shapes and they look difficult to use. This way seems so much easier! And DH will happily eat the leftovers after cutting.)
Fruit - in the shape of a wreath with rosemary or thyme used to make it more wreath-like.
In the shape of a tree using honeydew melon for most of the tree and lines of berries as 'garland.'
Do you have a holiday specialty?

Yeah, cranberry lime or gingerbread spice. DONE!

Or make the tree with kiwis. You do buffet - so on a large platter make a big Christmas tree with kiwis and use blueberries, red raspberries, strawberry slices, halves of black seedless grapes or red grapes, chunks of mandarin oranges for the ornaments, make a garland with mango or peach slices or pomegranate seeds. Mince (finely) some coconut and sprinkle it with "snow" and put a cherry on the top (or a slice of star fruit if you have it). You could even put walnut or pecan halves for the tree trunk.
It would be great presentation and guests could take the fruits they like..

Sounds beautiful! I especially like the coconut 'flocking.' :)
I needed some inspiration and I got it!

Wow! I would love to see a picture of that all made up!

I have a breakfast to do Saturday and will make this for the fruit dish. AND I will be certain to take photos.

I did the fruit on a Christmas tree shaped plate. Different colors in lines like garland and blueberry ornaments. Went over well. I have a picture but I cannot seem to post pictures here. I've tried several times. ?? (what's the secret?)
The picture is on our website via mobile upload from my FB page.

Also presentation on Christmas china or even red glass dishes or glassware (I used those for any number of holidays & you can find them lots of places now). Use greenery from your garden for a festive table(s).
Star fruit is really pretty as a topper to strawberry & kiwi starter.
You can also use holiday cookie cutters for biscuits (if they are served in your locale) or to cut crust on any number of baked items.

You have to go into My Account and then File Browser. Then upload the photo from your files - if it is larger than 2MB, you will have to resize it smaller. I usually do mine e-mail size.
After you have uploaded, you can , in your post, choose the picture, search in the file list for the photo name you want to use and click the Use Selected File.

Maybe a different browser?

getting to a real menu.
zucchini quiche with red pepper garnish
gingerbread pancakes with warm apple sauce
yogurt parfaits with upside down strawberries on top (hoping they look like Santa hats.)
and the usual, bacon, sausage, cereals, juice, muffins (probably cranberry)

Santa hats - put a dab of either the yogurt or whipped cream on top. We've done this. Cute as can be!

The Santa hat parfaits looked great. I used banana for the base, strawberry hats and a dab of yogurt for the top.

Gingerbread pancakes were an epic fail.
I finally tossed them after trying four separate times and getting burned pancakes.
I turned down the burner, switched pans, flipped quickly (but that was very difficult as they were quite wet.)
Still, burn marks and burned smell.
I made regular pancakes and served them with the warm applesauce anyway.
DH took the leftover ginergerbread batter and put it on a prepped cookie sheet in the over for 3 minutes. They came out very well. By that time, breakfast was over, so not an issue.
Anyway, I will not be wasting time trying to perfect the method. They just didn't work.
The individual quiches came out nicely. I used a cookie cutter to cut red pepper into star shapes and placed one on each before baking. Looked very festive.

I was hoping to do them but the strawberries we got were all misshapen.

In Breakfast you choose Cereal products because it is healthy and not much extra calories in it.
