I have 2 candidates for City Manager tonight with breakfast in the morning at 8. I have also been tapped to provide coffee for the interviews.
I did the fruit tonight and have it wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge til morning. I used one of the beautiful glass chargers a certain innkeeper sent me as the platter. Since I cannot decide which photo is the better, I am posting both. Kiwis (3) blueberries, peach slices for one garland and pomegranate seeds for the other, red raspberries, giant blackberries (should have some hanging at the bottom will fix tomorrow), pecan halves for the trunk, and minced coconut for the snow.
UPDATE:

I was also tapped for coffee - as I took it in to Council this morning, I was told my coffee was requested by James - he said, "I didn't know your coffee was world famous. I had to try it." (referring to the recent coffee article.) The Council members helped carry everything in. They asked me if I had formed any thoughts - I said am keeping my mouth shut. The guests had asked if I was in on the interview and I told them NO.
I took them Tanzania coffee, Surprise Muffins (kisses, blueberry, blackberry, and red raspberry centers), sugar cubes, phony sugars, and half & half (one Councilman was going to bring the powdered crap - not with MY coffee).

You giving that much fruit to one guest? I think that would serve at least 4 !

I had 3. I wanted to do photos. I plan to make another one for Christmas - guests or no guests. Looked for star fruit at the snooty k rog tonight on the way home from my last concert of the season. They had none. I did buy a persimmon - will go to Goo o find out how to serve it as I have never had one. I am hoping I can cut it into a star for the top of the tree. Figured $1 was not too expensive a try out for something new. Worst case I will use a banana slice or peach chunks to a star. I was not happy with the red raspberry top.
Just watched it online video - it appears I have a fuyu persimmon and the center has a "star" pattern. Woohoo. Pictures Christmas Day.

Nice! Two of 'em under the same roof? hmmm. You exceed the team player example.

Star fruit for a topper is the perfect solution

Yes, the City made the reservations and is paying for it. They had nice conversations at the breakfast table since both wanted an 8 AM breakfast.
