Hoping someone can give a recommendation. I have a scanner that won't work with the computer updated to windows 10. have been all around the block with support and ... zip
I have a great printer separate from the scanner that doesn't need replacing. What I need is a basic scanner that must work with windows 10. It can do other things but the scanning is most important to me.
?
Thanks

I'll ask the question of WHY you need a scanner? If you just need it from time to time, you sometimes can use a digitizing app. Otherwise, I really like the one from NEAT if it's for receipts and stuff. Otherwise Epson and Cannon both make good scanners.

I have windows 10 and use an epson SX130 printer (ie not new) works fine printer and scanner - you just download the software from the Epson Site or I think it automatically detects it as a device and sorts itself out.

Thank you.
I work from home for a non profit. I pick up the mail. We get often letters and forms to be filled out by the director who lives 100 miles from me. Especially for grants. I scan and email to her. Tried a cell phone app (three actually) that just didn't do it. I will look for the Epson
Just so frustrating to have everything working fine and then updating to windows 10 and have something no longer work. A new software program I had to install wouldn't work with the old o.s. so I updated. It's always this way.

I feel like homer simpson sometimes - put one new thing into my brain and an old thing pops out - feel its that way with computers or if I was cynical I would say its to keep us buying new things.

Jcam, absolutely. I am not pleased when someone says 'just get a new ...' or 'what you have is old anyway' Well, it worked an hour ago

We use this one... http://www.staples.com/NeatReceipts-Premium-Portable-Scanner/product_1635335 because with the program it just categorizes and understands receipts. But if that is too small, they have a bigger unit. The other brand like this is called Doxie.

I have been ignoring the drop-sown to upgrade to Windows 10 for a couple months now. I like Windows 7, have finally gotten comfortable with all the crap I currently have. I do not want to have to get all new software, devices, and learn all over again how to do things. It works and I works - leave us alone. I do not want to just get a new anything - ot has a $$$ attached to it and I do not happen to have $$$ laying round just now.

I run on the principle none of us here is made of money and all of us I hope have a reasonable portion of common sense!
