Whole bathroom gut and rebuild starts today. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Great! Can't wait to hear all about it! I'm off to do more painting!

Hope it goes smoothly and you don't find any bodies behind that wall ! we have just about finished our latest bathroom - decided to tile (DH's idea I must have been mad to agree to) just spent about 3 hours scrubbing! its a roll top tub which is designed to go against a wall and corner and there is a fricking blob of adhesive stuck right in the corner which is defeating me - any tips guys? all the rest came off with a bit of scrapping or wet towel left on for a bit to soften!
New shower is like a fricking jet wash on cold! did all the walls with the personal head!

Good luck! Post some before/after pictures if you get a chance..

Did you try a drumiel tool SP? . Or a grinder will take it off the wall. Or even try a rasper .

The easiest way I've found to post pictures is to upload them to my media library at my website, then copy and paste the URL into the picture dialog box on my post.
No worries, I'll keep an eye out on your website. Love that cover photo.

If you are trying to upload a really huge file it probably maxs out the system. Resize them smaller and then try. It doesn't matter what computer you use

Or they can use a service like http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/ and have the image disappear after a while for security.

One whole month later, we should be finished today!
Last night I saw the shower and sink installed and MOST of the floor. Today the toilet gets installed and the painting finished and the light fixture and mirror and towel racks hung.
We only had one box of floor tiles and need 1 1/10 boxes. So we ordered another box. Never really finished, right?
But it looks fabulous!

Always order extra! Even if it's just a few extra tiles from the open bin. We're having to fix the floor in our own bathroom and we've used up all the spare tiles. Hoping it's a common pattern!

I'd love to see pictures! Either here or off forum. (Hope you have before and after photos to load on Facebook, etc.) Let your beloved guests know all the work you went through just for them!

Another in a long line of delays.
We deliberately did not buy a new shower head for this project because the one we had was practically brand new.
Surprise! The workers "can't find" the showerhead they took off our shower at the beginning of demo.
I don't like to accuse, but I have the strangest feeling one of our carpenters has a nearly new showerhead.
Grrrrrr.

We have 2 PITA problems running right now with less than 10 days to go to get them sorted - we are painting the old light fixtures because we cannot find replacements that fit where the old ones were. Old ones are shiny brass, which is apparently making a comeback now that we are painting them. (Story of my life!)
Last week Gomez painted 2 of them. (He did 3 last year with no problems.) He went to do the second coat and the paint bubbled and peeled off. Today he had them both sanded down and tried with a different paint. Looking good. Until the light fixture fell, wet side down, onto the dirt floor of the basement. We now have 2 new lights on order (finally found a double sconce that fit the space) but they are not due in until next week.
Second problem is the new TV's that just came in hum. A very loud, annoying hum. We've researched problems and have tried every fix out there. Now looking like these will have to be shipped back. Luckily, the new TV's will not have cables so no holes drilled in the floors or ceilings that we have to pretend are not there if the replacement TV's don't get here in time.
