This is the reply I received to an e-mail. I was telling this guest (within 30 minutes of his reservation) there are currently 3 horses recovering from injuries occupying the stalls and I am to call the farmer on the 18th (rez is for the 22nd) to see if the stalls are empty. I asked if they wish to keep the reservation or cancel and make other arrangements.
We really like your service was the beginning of his e-mail. They will wait. While on the phone (they called from Canada), I explained the escort, the winter cancel policy (either can cancel if road conditions are dangerous for the horses - stable fee only if they cancel and nothing if I cancel - even on day of arrival), coffee, and breakfast times. I told him he will not receive a Confirmation e-mail until confirmed with the farmer.
They are waiting until the 18th to decide.
