Our first guests have come and gone with nothing stressful or unexpected happening! They were very friendly and had good suggestions from a travelers perspective and slept with the window open. Wonder if that is an Alaskan thing as it tends to be in New England. Maybe the need for fresh air, which my husband says I'm addicted to.
I'm now wearing the maid apron and singing as I work. The daughter's audition was early so they had a quick breakfast and I sent them off with blueberry/raspberry muffins and the prepackaged chocolate chip cookies. "Happy Trails!"

Lovely!
It's too freaking cold (19 degrees this morning) to sleep with the windows open!

Wonderful!!!!! Enjoy the cleaning!

Do your guest rooms have individual thermostats? I know that if I stay somewhere I really need to have a window open if I'm not able to control the temp in my room. Where we live doesn't get very warm, even in summer so it's difficult to sleep if it's not cool.
Congrats on surviving your first guests! Job well done.

and so it begins.....
Thinking back ten years does give me a chuckle. One part fortunate..two parts determined.. and three parts clueless

No, we don't have thermostats in the rooms as the heating system is the old-fashion hot water radiators. It is wonderful constant heat. She didn't say it was too warm just that she sleeps with an open window at home and hoped it was okay to do so here.
It was a good first experience with wonderful guests.

We had 13 degrees this morning but our rooms are on the second floor. Much warmer upstairs than down first thing in the morning!
