Totally a guess on my part but since hitting 600 likes on Facebook, my posts are being seen by double and triple the number of people as they were a couple of weeks ago. Which will all change now that I've mentioned it. ;-)

awesome. I'm only at 300+. My biggest 'viewed by' is slightly below 2000.
working on it! refuse to pay to 'boost.'

So, now that FB has changed how you view your business page news feed my daily views have dropped to nothing. I think I had a lot of other local businesses following the page and now they don't see a news feed and they may not bother looking for what's happening with other pages.
I still go look but nowhere near as deeply as I used to as it's too much work scrolling thru all the ads. I unliked about 50 pages that were nothing I was interested in any longer but they all still show up as pages my page likes and they pump out the posts by the hour.

How much do you think FB actually contributes to bookings?

It keeps us in front of our guests. Keeps the idea of a vacation in front of them.
Does a brand new guest find us that way? Maybe if someone shares a post on their own page.

.
Same here. FB helps keep us in the mind of of previous guests who may be spurred to return, and helps build a sense of community with those guests who do return on a regular basis -- they like seeing what the place is like in the off-season when they are not there, and they like seeing what sorts of projects we are up to. Our regulars do sometimes share with their FB friends something we have posted, saying something like "See, this is why I love going to stay at OnTheShore...."
I can't say that we get bookings directly from FB (we do have a booking app on our FB page!), but I do suspect that potential new guests who are researching prospective vacation spots may well check out our FB page as part of their research.

I have maybe 2 a week click the FB "Book Now" button, but I don't track if they actually booked or not. It tells me there's potential there, but very little!
