Got a call for a room at about 9:30. Just before we turned the phone ringer off. We happened to have two rooms, I passed the phone to DH.
I heard him say, "Well, do you have cash?" Then, "uuuuhhhhmmm. No. No, I don't think so. Bye."
The guy was in our town. Needed a room and said he would use his "boss' card."
Ummmm no. Double checked all the locks and went to bed.
The only thing I think we could have done is report his to the cops. I wonder now if he had a stolen card.

Where I come from, I pay the hotel and my "boss" pays me back later. Just sayin'.

or its a company card ie Johnsons electrical or whatever - Not mr smith

Smart call. Better to have 2 empty rooms than the headache of a stolen card and dirty laundry to boot!

I know, but didn't matter. It was an unusual request, a young voice, not business protocol and after our bedtime. All good reasons to say no.

I only wish I'd called the cops. He actually told us where he was. Outside the convenience store. I could have pinpointed him for them.
